Going Solar Incentives2023-02-16T21:24:06+00:00

There are federal, state and other incentives to help you pay for or benefit from your solar system.

Going Solar Incentives

Federal, state, and local governments understand the importance of sustainable energy and the high costs associated with traditional power sources. That’s why, in many cases, incentives can save customers well over 50% on the cost of energy.

Federal Tax Credits

The solar investment tax credit (ITC) is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in the income taxes that a homeowner claiming the credit would otherwise pay the federal government. The ITC is based on 30% of the cost to install solar for systems installed in 2022-2032. For those leasing a system tax credits are not offered. Don’t wait, prices for solar equipment are on the rise!

State & Local Incentives

States and local governments offer incentives to assist homeowners to become more sustainable by going solar. The incentives vary from state to state, but may include exemptions from sales taxes on their system, exemptions on property tax increases or compensation for the excess power they produce. We will assist you in attaining all of the incentives you are due.

Solar builds home value

Build Home Value

A solar system is a capital improvement which adds to the property’s value. You can may sell your home faster and for more than homes without solar. Your investment in solar also adds to its tax basis. Upon selling, the tax basis investment can be deducted from the sale price, which reduces the profit. This lessens the sales taxes and you may avoid capital gains taxes.

*Ask your representative about which incentive you’re eligible to receive. Please consult a tax advisor on your ability to claim these nonrefundable tax credits.

The purpose of a solar consultation is for us to gather all the information we need to make sure your home is a good fit for solar. This is also a great opportunity to get all your questions answered! Your Energy Consultant will analyze your energy usage and ask questions about future changes in energy consumption — such as adding a pool or a EV — which can dramatically affect your energy bill. Once your energy consultant has this information, our team of highly qualified design engineers will custom tailor a quote for a system that fits your solar needs.

How long does the solar installation take?2022-08-22T23:27:08+00:00

Going solar is a process that involves many different organizations which include government, city, HOA, and utility companies. Our goal is to move the solar project through this process as efficiently as possible. Because of the involvement of so many representatives and agents from outside organizations, it is impossible to give a 100% accurate timetable, but most solar installations take 7-12 weeks from signed contract to completion.
